Caramel notes for drinks, baking and homemade desserts.
Coconut sugar is made from the sap of coconut palm flower buds.
How to use:
- Cocoa and coffee: stir into a warm drink, adding gradually to taste.
- Porridge and granola: pair with oats, nuts, coconut and cinnamon.
- Cookies and cakes: add to your batter as directed by the recipe; the caramel notes complement banana, apples and cocoa.
- Baked fruit: sprinkle apples or pears with a little sugar and cinnamon before baking.
- Sauces and dressings: add a pinch to balance the acidity of lemon juice or tomatoes.
Tip: For creams, dissolve in warm liquid from the recipe first. It can give pale desserts a darker colour.
