A neutral flavour and gel-forming texture for puddings, breakfasts and desserts.
The seeds absorb liquid and gradually thicken the mixture.
How to use:
- Chia pudding: mix with a plant-based drink following your recipe, stir again after a few minutes and leave to hydrate in the fridge.
- Overnight oats: add to oats and a plant-based drink; the mixture thickens as the seeds hydrate.
- Berry dessert: mix with berry purée and leave to thicken in the fridge. This is a fresh dessert, not a preservation method.
- Smoothies: add pre-soaked seeds and adjust the thickness gradually.
- Baking: use chia gel in recipes that specify it as a binder.
Preparation: Allow the seeds to hydrate fully in liquid before eating. Do not swallow spoonfuls of dry seeds. Follow your recipe for liquid quantities and soaking time; keep prepared wet mixtures refrigerated.
